Hi!  My name is Rachel and I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 7!  I raised my children as a single mom starting in 1992.  Special circumstances made it possible for me to stay home, raise and homeschool them.  I eventually entered the workplace at Special Addition Maternity and Nursing boutique in Austin, Texas, beginning in 2000.  In 2017, we decided to open up a small, indoor playground in Bastrop, Texas while still working in Austin.  On March 27, 2018, we celebrated our grand opening!  I resigned from my Austin job in 2020 and decided to completely dedicate myself to making our little playground known.  It was a very exciting time for me!  It has always been a pleasure to work with moms, dads, babies and children of all ages and I get to continue doing that here at RC's Playhouse!

 

I am only where I'm at today because of my strong faith in God.  Truth be told, this endeavor was His idea!  And I know this is what I am called to do.  I am blessed with very close immediate and extended family who are each such a special part of my life.  I enjoy working on projects around the ranch, spending time with my parents, grandchildren and friends, studying God's Word, chilling at the computer in the early morning drinking coffee, spending time getting to know my customers, and everything that goes along with running a business.  I love it all!  I really enjoy visiting the mountains and rivers in Colorado, and any kind of hiking trail always seems to call my name.  I know one day I'll be visiting Colorado again, but I believe this is the time and season to focus on growing our sweet, little business.  These past few years have been such a blessing and a pleasure watching RC's grow while establishing many wonderful relationships and even establishing special bonds with all the moms and dads and all the kiddos that come with them!  It is my desire that everyone in Bastrop and surrounding communities know about us so they will have the chance to come and be a part of this fun-filled, memory building, safe, family-friendly community adventure!  Please spread the word so others can have the opportunity to join us in some good old-fashioned imaginative play for the kiddos and some good quality chill-time chatting it up with other parents and grandparents!  It has been such a pleasure getting to know each and every one of you and I'm looking forward to getting to know more valued customers in the years to come!
